On Sunday 2/1, You Belong experienced a significant and unexpected facility emergency when a pipe burst in our kitchen, resulting in widespread flooding throughout the building. The flooding impacted our kitchen, Adventure Zone, bathrooms, and portions of our main space.

At this time, a professional restoration company is assessing the extent of the damage and working to make the necessary repairs. Once we have a clear sense of the timeline of their work, we will provide an estimated timeline for reopening.

Out of an abundance of caution, all programming at You Belong (estimated until at least 2/4) and the Adventure Zone (estimated until at least 2/13) are temporarily closed while this work is underway. At this moment, we still don't know exact dates/details, but we are committed to sharing updates as soon as more information becomes available.

You Belong and the Adventure Zone were built with intention, love, and community at the center; from the programs we offer to the physical spaces that were thoughtfully designed and built to support inclusive, accessible play. This space has always been more than a building; it is a place where families feel seen, supported, and welcomed exactly as they are.

We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of kindness, messages, and hands-on support from our community in the immediate aftermath of this event. As we move into the recovery and rebuilding phase, we anticipate significant needs related to repairs, replacements, and restoration of our space.

You Belong is a non-profit organization that provides services and programs for families, individuals living with disabilities, and their caregivers. Our goal is to ensure that everyone feels included and has access to the resources they need to thrive. We offer Family Classes for kiddos and their grown-ups, Respite Care, Vocational Training for adults living with disabilities, and much more. Join us in building an inclusive community for all.
